It’s week 9 of the blog challenge and we’re in the third month of the year. Time is flying by. The topic, ‘What would I invent if I were stuck on an island.’
I want to take a few cruises some time in the near future so this is a ‘what if’ I need to give serious consideration. I’ve thought long and hard about what I’d invent if I were to be stranded on an island.
Okay, the first thing I’d need is water. There’s the ocean, but it’s not drinkable as it is so I’d need to hopefully find fresh water somewhere on the island. Once found, I’d have to find/create a vessel out of raw material from the island or debris from my damaged ship that is sturdy enough to withstand the purification process. I would want this gadget to be near whatever shelter I have but connected to the water source so I wouldn’t have to traipse through the bush from my dwelling and risk an encounter with dangerous wildlife.
What would you invent if you were stranded on a deserted island? Please be sure to check out all of the other authors in this blog hop here.
Everyone’s answers are similar and most lead to doom. We’re not as prepared as we’d like to think.
No, we’re not prepared but I’ve watched a few survival shows and I like to think that I may be able to come up with something to help me survive. Thanks for stopping by.
You are surely more prepared than i am!
Not really, just wishful thinking on my part. If nothing else, I could just boil the water and hope for the best. Thanks for stopping by.
The only way I’d survive is if my son the Eagle Scout was stranded with me:)
that is super smart. You can’t drink the ocean water so finding fresh water would be a must or a way to make it drinkable! I think we all just need to be stranded together so we have a better chance of survival.
